Of all Disney‘s dazzling remakes, few have commanded the buzz of ‘The Lion King.’
Set to roar into cinemas on July 19th 2019, the live-action remake of the colossal classic boasts an all-star cast anchored by Donald Glover (Simba) and Beyonce (Nala).
And as if anticipation wasn’t sky-high, it cranked up a notch moments ago when the first teaser trailer for ‘The Lion King’ was unleashed.

Originally released in 1994, ‘The Lion King’ is one of the highest-grossing animated films of all time – racking up $968.5 million worldwide.
Directed by Jon Favreau and co-starring the likes of James Earl Jones, Alfre Woodard, and Seth Rogen, the latest incarnation of the movie comes after Disney’s blockbuster success with a series of live-action re-imaginations. Indeed, titles like ‘Alice in Wonderland’ (2010), ‘Maleficent’ (2014), ‘Cinderella’ (2015), and, most recently, ‘Beauty and the Beast’ all bulldozed box-office records.
And now ‘The Lion King’ looks set to follow-suit.

The Casting is perfect. But re-telling the same story but with live animation is so uncalled for. This is just gonna be just like the same ole Ninja Turtles Rehashed Story, nothing new will be added. I was Expected more of a Lion King 3 Direction where Simba and Nahla are still leads.
But atleast Bey can still say she has never played an EXTRA in a movie… ALWAYS a LEAD character unlike a certain Pirhanna.
And perhaps that’s why her acting skills are so poor. There are many lessons to be learned from playing smaller parts and gradually working your way up to leading roles, all the best actors have learned these lessons.

The emotions going through my body right now….I can’t. My childhood. I cannot wait!!!!!
I don´t really like all these new live action movies much. They are literally making zero impact. Good box office but nothing else. In this particular occasion it looks like too cold imo. They needed a warmer feel to it. In fact, to my surprise, I liked the recent Aladdin teaser better.
That said Lion King is my all time DIsney flick ever. And stats seem to agree with me. It´s the biggest animated hit of the last 40 years.
